While bringing a human into the world can be extremely rewarding, it can also take a tole on the human body. In this blog post, I’m going to share with you ways you can stay in shape, hacks to make the barefoot and pregnant life a breeze, and what you should do while you’re pregnant to prepare for your bundle of joy’s arrival.

When you first see those two little lines pop up on a pregnancy test, your heart is either filled with joy, or you are petrified about how you are going to handle all of this. I’m here to ease your mind. It’s all going to work out in the end: our goal is healthy mommy & baby. My job is to help you get there, so please try to listen to what I have to say. Although everyone and their mother is going to try to tell you what you should be doing while you’re pregnant, keep in mind that this is your baby, your body, and your choice. This is because you may experience a false-positive result from the at home tests. This is when you are not pregnant, however, the test claims to have a positive result. This could be extremely serious in nature, which is why you need to seek professional help. Something else could be going on with your body, as this only happens if there is blood or protein in your urine.

If you are pregnant, congratulations! Now, you want to take a step back and evaluate your lifestyle, as things are going to begin to change drastically at an extremely fast rate. Firstly, take a look at your diet. The most important thing to adjust is your water intake. You should be drinking either a gallon a day, or a half of your body weight in ounces at the current time. This will ensure that both you and the baby are sufficiently hydrated.

Whether you decide to have a co-ed baby shower or all women, it can still be a ton of fun! Don’t forget to take pictures and make memories. This is also a great opportunity to reveal the gender or name of the baby should you and your partner decide. I personally love to keep the name a secret, and just reveal the gender, but to each their own.

Let’s talk about hacks to make the rest of your pregnancy bearable and less of a burden for you, your partner, and the loved ones who only want the best for you.

If you haven’t already accepted defeat, it’s time to purchase maternity clothes. The number one goal throughout your pregnancy is comfort after all. If you are having trouble typing your shoes at this stage, that’s what your spouse is for. In case you’re interested, you could also just purchase shoes that have an elastic band, and not use your laced up kicks for a while.

But, what happens if you have just used the restroom for the billionth time in the last half hour? Enter the beauty of a hair tie. This will alleviate the need for you to have additional assistance in the restroom. Well, unless you need help getting up.
